Can a vin b be used in a vin t

Hello,
I have a base model 1990 eclipse 1.8l MT vin 8th digit T. I have been trying to find an engine that will fit that. Pretty hard find..... Anyways I was wondering can 92 MT eclipse engine vin 8th digit B fit in my car. What modifications would be required if so? I believe someone said that the 90 eclipse was kinda the odd year so it would not just be a simple drop and go. Are the modifications simple that a regular mechanic can easily make. Or will it take more specialized skills? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no simple 1.8 to 2.0 swap. I would recommend sticking with the 1.8 unless you have some serious time and money to put into it. If you need 1.8 engine parts you can ask around on here. What is wrong with your 1.8?
