I was reading somewhere that the 1g N/A cams were better than 2g cams (not sure if thats correct)

Well i've got 1g automatic cams in my car and they suck (gsx motor came from an auto tsi). I have a set of 1g NA Auto cams will they provide more top-end power than my 1g auto cams?

I'm pretty sure they are almost the same. 1g na cams are the same as 89-90 turbo cams.
Auto turbo's have the same cam's as na's.

Don't waste your time, even if there is a difference, it won't be noticeable.

I noticed a small amout of gain when I had 92 TSI man. trans. cams put into my n/a. I decided to go a few steps up from that and put in the largest Crower intake cam I could find...now there is definately a noticeable difference. Depending what you are looking to do, it may not make a big enough difference to change them out for stock turbo cams. Unless you have other mods that will compliment the new cams, you probably won't feel much of a change.
