1G Cams and cam gears?

so i just got a new job and i was thinking about buying some new cams with my first check so i was just wondering if anyone could point me in a direction on what type/brand i should pick up im looking to turbo my car next summer but i want to upgrade slowly before just turboing so i was gonna do it in this order....


1.cams/cam gears
2.pistons/rods
3.valves


like i said im gonna be doing it slowly just need some help or if you guys can give me some better advice to do with it i have a 92 na laser 5 speed 4g63 2.0

I think I would turbo it first and then start upgrading from there...it'll help in chosing what parts better fit the car since it now has a turbo and you have an idea of how crazy you wanna go or if you just wanna go mild...its kinda hard to explain in text but I hope it helps a little

Ya don't get too ahead of yourself, take everything one step at a time and go from there. Sounds like your going in the right direction though.

AMS Infamous DSM Camshaft test | HKS | Crower| Jun | Web | Eagle Talon | 4g63 Cams this is the best test to show the results on a TURBO 4g63, it will give you and idea of what to expect with that cams after you turbo, so id go turbo first and then cams. or do both at once.

pay attention to the pre existing mods and check out the charts, pick which will fit what you want best, a long boost that peaks high or a sudden urge boost with a quick peak.

and do some research about eagle rods weisco pistons and the compression ratio's to shoot for.
