ok this may have been covered in a previous thread, but i cant seem to find it anywhere. i have a big 16g, and i was wondering which cams to go with. i know i want to get 272's, but not too sure on which company. ive heard bc's are the worst, so im wanting to stay away from those.

any advice is great, thanks
kyle

what cams would you recommend for the 18g? i previously found out the guy that i bought my car from fu#$ed me over and i have a 14b, so im looking to get a big turbo and i thought what the hell why not an 18g haha.

i have the delta 272 cams w/ evo3 turbo and love them. great power up top with tiny loss down bottom. i'll also be running these cams with my hx40. i have stock springs and retainers and shift at 8k at the track with no problems. definately go with delta cams. they are identical to the hks cams. i was also told that delta makes the dks(ffwdconnection) cams.

You don't need cams with a 16g.

I agree.
It's unwise to install cams without adjustable gears to degree them. Reading your mods list I think you are near the capacity or your IC. For the small gains you would probably acheve with your present turbo the cost of cams, gears and the proper equipment to degree them or hire it done could be better spent else where.
Link III would provide some immediate gains and allow you to grow with future mods.

Why bother with an 18g at all? Common upgrade path is 14b>16g>20g>big non mitsu turbo.

i was looking for a turbo that had a faster spool up time than the 20g, but have the capabilites to push more cfm than the evo3 16g. plus not that many people have them, so i guess i could say i like to try to not follow what everyone else does. :)

would this be a good quality 18g? Forced Performance Turbochargers: DSM 18G-6SL2 Turbocharger

and would i need a different j-pipe if i purchased a 18g? i have the 14b right now. a list of anything else i would need along with this turbo would be great. would my fuel setup be able to handle this turbo? i have evo3 560cc injectors with a soon to be hardwired walbro 190. thanks in advance for any advice on what i would need.
