Calling all owners of aftermarket sunroofs. Pics.

Pics would be great. I'm planning to get an aftermarket kit from JC Whitney. Please state dimensions and brand.

I'm not sure which brand JC Whitney sells, but only buy SFC in manual sunroofs and Webasto/Hollandia for power ones.The rest are junk and you will regret it if you buy a junk one.I can't remember but I think a 20 X 32 is the biggest you can put into a DSM without problems, A 15 X 30 will be the easiest to install.If you are installing it yourself, find a Bosch Uni-Shear to cut the hole, it will make the install a 1000 times easier.If you can't find one and you end up using a jig saw, put a lot of masking tape around the cut line, otherwise the paint will chip off around the hole, and not seal correctly.Also make sure you put primer on the metal you cut.And soak all the various rubber trim parts in hot water before you install them.If you need help let me know, I'm in the Twin Cities also, and I used to do them for a lot of the dealerships in our area.

I can show you how to wrap the factory headliner around the frame so it looks like a factory install too.

Hey thanks for the info. About the headliner, since it is going to be cut, how will I cover the cut areas. Does the SFC kit comes with the headliner material?

No it doesn't come with headliner material.There are 2 different size frames that cover the hole in the headliner, one leaves more room for error, and the other leaves little room for error, but It looks the best.
