Buying an Eclipse G3

Greetings from Europe!
I`m going to buy a salvage car on Copart Car auction,I`m interested in eclipse g3 00 with 3 liter engine.For couple of weeks I`ve checked the auction for car which will fit my price and wouldn`t be smashed so hard,and finally found one.Here it is:

What do you think about it,is it safe to buy this one?It has run & drive verification certificate,but repair cost about 9000$(american price,maube it`s a mistake?),as I was saying I`m from Europe,cost of repair will be much lower in my country,I`m more concerned of technical side of this car!Maybe someone knows anything about it!?

DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors...DSMs generally are 90-99 Talons Eclipses and Lasers.DSM didn't make that newer Eclipse and I honestly can't understand why anyone would buy one of those but if you have your heart set on it the guys at www.club3g.com could probably be more helpful.

DSM stands for Diamond Star Motors. This is collaboration between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. They made the Eclipse, Laser, and Talon is 90-94. Laser was taken out of the picture in 95. Then the Talon and Eclipse 2g's were manufactured until 99. Then Chrysler pulled out leaving just Mitsubishi. They then decided to no longer put the 4g63T in the eclipse. Therefore no longer a DSM in the opinions of many throughout the DSM community.
