What ignition system are you guys having success with the. Buschur cop, I know I know the stock it better I get it. But the cop looks very clean and I want to make it work. Arc-2? I understand the wasted spark system we use just want to see what you guys have had success with. I’m running link but I’m not against going all Aem or Haltech. Thanks

The Buschur Racing type with Chrysler 300m type coils works fine until you hit over say 400hp and then you should run a cdi with it such as a Sparktech or Arc2 unit or switch to sequential spark with a smart coil.

I asked David Buschur what coil they used and he said Denso..I’m a little past 400 and just wanted reliably! If that possible with our cars LOL And why is it at higher hp they’re no good?

This COP thing with those coils is going on 20 years now. Someone figured out that they worked and everyone went for it because it wasn't stock and was visually better. That was the only 2 criteria for doing the mod. BUT, they sucked compared to stock and needed an ignition box to work properly. Big red flag.
Meanwhile the stock coils are superior paired with an ignition box. I've ran about 800hp through the 30 year old stock ones. If you "just wanted reliability" at 400hp, put it back to stock.

Why or how should I say are people like Boostin and turbo_tony running cop setups? I have no problem pairing them with an ignition system! That’s why I started this post to see who’s running what with success with this cop.

People out there are using them. I won't argue that. But if the stock ignition can do 500, then 800+ with a box. VS the 300m coils that are very hit or miss alone, then are workable up to ~400, why bother with it? For visuals? To have another mod in your back pocket? I really don't see a benefit.

For the aesthetics yes. Which is a big benefit to me. And I don’t mind spending whatever it takes to make it work properly. And still keep around 6-700hp.
