I was just wondering how good of machine work Buschur does on rebuilding engines? Anyone have any experience with his motors? If not, anyone know a good machine shop around lower Michigan? I've left a message at TRE seeing as thats right in Kalamazoo, but I'm not sure about them either. HELP!

BTW, I'm building a 6-bolt block, I want it strong and reliable...price is no object, but again..I don't want to spend where its not needed. Thanks!

I haven't bought an engine from them, but I have bought a head.

It arrived on my doorstep in absolutely beautiful condition, it still runs very well without any problems.

Buschur is one of the top vendors in the DSM community. I am sure there build quality is of perfection. You can also look into sloyboy racing. Slowboy has fully built blocks, along with the 6 bolt swap kits.

Buschur Racign is a good shop, but I feel they have gone downhill as of late. Customer sevice sucks, Jarod, who answers the phones does not know a damn thing about, and Tym is gone, and it seemed like he ran the show down their. A kid just came up to our shop with almost no oil pressure with his new buschur built motor, and a guy from Columbus DSM is on buschur bottom end #2 after #1 lost all compression after being tuned at Buschur.

I have the block and most parts necessary for the swap, but thanks for the info. I found the kits Slowboy had to be a bit expensive, so I decided to put in some time and find the parts I needed for cheaper.

I have also heard of a few quality issues with Buschur assembled motors. Think its ok, or should I find someone around here.

Any experience with TRE motors?

Alright, I got quoted for ~300 for a hone and bottom end assembly from Buschur. Does this sound ok?? I'm having it hot-tanked here for cheap, and I may need to have the cylinders bored out a bit as there is a hint of rust from it sitting out. I'm hoping that won't add a whole lot to the quoted cost.
