building a tranny

i am looking for what years of 1g awd trannys come with upgradeable parts so far i have a galant vr4 first gear and the guts out of a 93 awd tranny what other years of trannys come with good internals

why do you want a gvr4 1st gear? i asked john sheperd if i should get one for my trans and he said thre're weaker and doesn't recommend it.

i have never heard of that before most people i see using them problem free.

I thought TRE says on their site that they are stronger? I personally thought they were weaker as well though

When shep rebuilt my trans i requested the same thing, galant 1st gear, and ditto , he said weaker then factory...

I read through their site however I don't see anywhere where they say it's stronger only that they offer it. ?
