Okay I believe by the time you've spent money on machining costs to make a 2g piston fit a 1g rod and adding the cost of the pistons themselves you could have bought a set of wiesco pistons.

so here is my question

I have noticed two piston's for budget rebuilds they range around the same price. First of I found topline there 199.99 and there there is Nippon racing pistons which i think are made my itm componets. but I'm not sure.

does anybody have any experience on which ones are better pistons. like i said there both around the same price so I'm just wondering about the integrity of them.

thats budget i guess but i hope you don't want any big # on them because i wouldn't trust them. you think about it wiscos are like 400 and them are like 200 to 250 but the wiscos will last like twice as long on a good build and only having to do the machine work once with wiscos and probably doing it twice with the others in the amount of time that the wiscos would last if properly tuned. so really your further ahead with the wiscos because in time they will be cheaper and you don't have to be afraid to turn the boost up and get better #'s.
but its up so you are you just trying to get the car back on the road then go for them if you want durability and power go with wisco. but i have no experience with anything other than JE or wisco and i perfer wisco by far. but good luck to you

Ive been up pondering this all night. And i agree my last engine was built with wiesco and i think my new engine will be built with them also. thanks.
