Ok so it's just about time to replace my brakes I've been running EBC yellow pads and rotors. But I have a fully built motor and turbo to go on the car so I want to upgrade the brakes with out braking the bank. I've been looking into the 3000gt upgrade but there is no "this is what you need list" I can find. If someone has this that would be awesome.

Yeah I was looking at the outlander upgrade 2

I really want a decent looking caliper tho as well the 3k gt ones are the nicest looking cheap caliper out there LOL

Oh and I guess I should mention I have 18" wheels on the car as well and I'm not worried about having to clear a stock wheel

Yeah I've seen that one 2 but kinda hokey to me having to stack brake pads in the caliper and all. And the fact that the rotors need to be re drilled. I'd like to find something a little more just bolt on. I dont mind a caliper adapter at all tho, the cts-v brakes is a cool idea I just wish there was a rotor that was thick enough so you didint need to stack the pads

That's almost exactly what I'm looking for. If it were for a 2g or are the 1 and 2g the same? Also no one ever says what year cobra rotors? What I'd like to know is if I can use the 3k gt calipers and rotors that way it's all off the shelf parts and no hub centrics or re drilling needed. I know I'll loose about a half inch rotor diameter but that's on with me for a bolt on deal

There is a set of brackets specifically to use with 3000GT rotors, I forget the site that offers them at the moment, but search that thread and look for the other threads, there's plenty of information.

I have the 3000GT 4 pot rotors with Cobra rotors (I bought them for a 2000 model year, but I think any of the something like 95-2004 or whatever generation that is would work). The install was simple, I bought the RTM kit with the hub rings, lines, brackets with hardware. You just have to make sure the caliper sits about centered over the rotor. I had to use a single thickness of spacer washers on one side, which I'm not excited about, but I've had the rotors on for about 6K miles now with no issues.

That's great info! Thank you.

How does the pedal feel and does it stop on a dime?

Well looks like I'll be going with the Evo brakes instead just got a pair of calipers and rotors with pads for 275 bux!
