i just bought 95 eagle talon tsi awd cross and drilled rotors and green pads! i am just wondering if they will bolt up to my 91 talon awd? like is there anything i have to do or what? please let me know asap thanks alot brandon

You will need the Dual Piston Calipers and mounting brackets from a '93 and newer AWD. Other than that you're ready to go.

But, No... They will not work on your car unless you get the Calipers and Brackets.

What brackets? I have always heard of brackets but I never had to use them. The dual pistion calipers bolt right up to my 1990. I put the calipers and the rotors right on the car and was set.

You're right they do just bolt right up. I'm talking about the bracket that mounts to the hub that the caliper slides on and the pads get held in by. That bracket is different on the Dual Piston Caliper cars. If you order the calipers from a parts store it will NOT come with the mounting bracket.

You can see in this picture that the bracket is not the same because the pads are larger and the rotor are larger if you could use the '91 bracket the rotor would hit it and the pads would not fit.

Your brackets must have already been attached to the caliper and you may not have even noticed their existance!

When I originally decided to do the larger brake upgrade I went to O'reilly's and ordered the calipers in. They came in with just the caliper and no mounting bracket. This left me with a dilema because in order to mount the calipers and pads you need the brackets.

So, I sourced them from a junkyard. You could probably order them new from JNZ or a dealer.

Just letting the OP know about the challenges and concerns of the Big Brakes upgrade. :thumb:

i dunno if this has already been pointed out elsewhere, but i pulled front calipers from a '02 diamante and they are the exact same as those on a 2g GSX, rotors also. use brackets from a 3000gt and buy new hoses and pads for a GSX and you should have everything you need.
