Bucking when letting of gas at WOT

97 GST Auto. only mod. is k&n air filter.

OK I just got this car over the weekend and When I let off the gas fast the car bucks real hard... but it wont do it when I let of the gas slowlyWTF Could it be broken motor mount? or something serious?

Also is it normal for the car to buck a little when on the gas when its cold? If so should I let the car warm up a few min.? I live in MIch..

if your doing say a 2nd gear pull it could be your trans upshifting into 3 or 4.

You should always let your car warm up in the winter time. And drive it like a grandma to warm it up in the summer.

Its not on the gas though, its when I let off of it, its at like 10-12pounds of boost, know matter what gear the cars in, when I let off the gas adbruptly it bucks.

It's probably just because an auto stays in gear after hi-revving whereas a manual you usually push the clutch in and either change gears or put it in neutral. Either way if you were to go WOT in a manual then let off the gas w/out pushing in the clutch it would buck pretty violently also, if not more violently than an auto.

Yeah, sounds pretty normal to me. Any car would buck hard if you abruptly let off the gas while it's at high rpm's/high boost.

you could look into getting a 2 button shift box. im hopefully gonna get one if i get my chedda stack up. eagletalontim is the guy who has them. pretty sure that would eliminate the upshift jolt.
