Broken Tcase output shaft into drive shaft help

At my last track visit I blew the t case after my first launch. So any idea how to get the broken t-case output shaft out of my drive shaft? It does not look to be twisted in. I tried a magnet and did not pull it. I'm up for ideas/ don't want to drill and tap because im sure its hardened steel and that would not be fun.

You could try to clean It up and weld a stud to it and using a slide hammer. Don't use brake cleaner if you want to weld it though, that combo can be deadly. Use something like purple power or acetone.

I don't want to get spatter on the splines if I weld on it. I may get the new unit. Didnt know they were that cheep, I'm sure my uni joint has seen better days haha.

You aren't going to hurt the yolk by welding that. If there is any slag that gets on the yolk it will be removed when you pull the rest of the shaft it of it, any remainder will come off with a wire brush. You are overthinking this.

Just get a new one. No worries if that one has had a Recall done. Plus that one looks like the Splines have seen better days before this happen.
