Yea I would be bringing that back!! It looks like the crack/chip is I between 2 timing teeth. Chances are it will cause issues with the crank position sensor. I would be bringing that back because that is total BS!!!

Not only would that cause issues, if it was dropped hard enough to bust one off, you have to wonder if there are any other micro cracks you are unaware of. Take it back and buy a Callies Stroker crank from me =) (or at least exchange your current crank)

What does "remanufactured" even mean when it's in regards to a crank? Meaning they cut fown the journals?

Thats a good question... I know they can repair cranks, but in order to grind down journals and re-polish and etc, it costs just about as much to do that (if not more) that buying a new one....

I guess they could of got a used stock one in, and then maggied and QC'd it with some polishing?

Well there arent any parts to replace in a crank, sooo... It had to have beel altered from OEM, sketchy in my opinion. However there are a few people on here that would disagree and run oversized bearings. I guess they haven't had problems. But for piece of mind i wouldn't wanna risk a fresh rebuild, regardless of the application. That is potentially a lot of work down the toilet.

Stay away from auto parts stores re manufactured cranks. I have seen so many problems with them over the years it is crazy. They will usually not check for straightness before grinding them so the mains are always off center. These are likely machined by the same type of people who are selling you parts at the stores.

Know where to get a good deal on a stocker? I'm doing a stock rebuild on 2g 420a I picked up. This sucks, but glad I looked it over before installing!

I would find a good machine shop and have them turn your old crank if it were me.
