Is the shaft reusable? -4 unrestricted at that, possible casting flaw where the oil inlet is? i never looked to see if it was open

Mobil 1 is junk for sure.[/QUOTE]

Is that why they use mobil 1 from the factory in evos vipes ect. I have always run mobile 1 with good results.

Factory Evo = Modded DSM with non-stock turbo at greater thrust loads and shaft speeds?

High ZDDP and Moly is something to be encouraged for these applications.

Though OP seems to have a delivery issue first and foremost

The thing is with a guage screwed in the exact hole the turbos being fed from oil pressure was good, so it would have to be something with the oil feed line or the oil inlet itself, ill have to look into it

Is the shaft reusable?
Depends if the shaft is straight, and if the turbine sealing ring still moves freely in the groove or if the groove has been compressed shut from rubbing the housing.

It wasn't the mobile1s falt. But it would probably be a good idea to run a zinc additive.

Sorry ,Thought I'd bring it up,

a BorgWarner turbo is a turbo straight from BW unmodified ,

An S3xx(ex.S257,S259,S363,364,366) anything is a BorgWarner turbo taken and modified by Bullseye which would be considered a Bullseyeturbo! Basically it becames a hybrid turb or frankenstein turbo once it leaves bullseye.

I have a BW S300SX 88-75 100% Borgwarner turbo non modded stock from BW, At least this is how Geoff from FullRace explained all of the above to me....

Just thought I'd throw that in:thumb: But please correct me if I am wrong, it does get confusng like the title of this thread which I thought should say Bullseye turbo S360 blew! Just addressing the title.

It's still a Borg turbo.

In many cases Bullseye doesn't even touch the turbo itself- they simply add one of their turbine housings in order to make the turbo adapt more easily to whatever application the customer has. The reason behind this is almost every Borg they sell originally came with a T4 turbine housing.

Gotcha! However I was told that they sometimes chgd the turbine wheel as well but I could be wrong. I know they make T-hsings for T3 settups on the Borgs.

In some cases, possibly- but most of the time not.

Still....swapping the turbine wheel on a component-balanced turbo isn't going to make it any less-reliable. It happens every day by companies all over the world.
