so im putting new pads and rotors on my car all round. and on the rear i cant get the pads to go into the caliper. i unfortunately do not have a haynes repair manual or anythin but i just cant seem to get the pads to go on without taking off the little metal clips on the caliper that i guess are suppose to hold the pad in place, because when i take the clips off and set the pads in they fit but are a little loose. if anyone can shed some light onto what my problem might be or what i am doing wrong it would be appreciated.
ok so besides me not being able to get pads on because of the clips. i think the actual caliper is broken. it wont compress and it still needs to compress more. also the original reason im replacing the pads and rotors on the back is because the rotor is getting really bad scrape marks on it, its worn horribly unevenly and the whole brake assembly is creating so much heat u cant even touch the rim of the car after driving it. so something is wrong and i think that might have something to do with the caliper. so im guessing its bad and i need to replace it.
