Well i was looking scanning through my Eclipse '95-'01 Hayne's Repair Manual trying to learn up on the basics of brake assembly and a diagram (8-12 illustration 13.4 to be exact 
) shows the different setup between disc and drum brakes. Me owning a '95, i get asked alot which type of brakes my car has, if it weren't for my manual i would probably never know. Anyway, the one thing i wondered about the diagram was that it showed calipers on a disc brake assembly and no caliper on the drum brake assembly. Are calipers only on disc brake assembly's? or is this diagram only showing that calipers are not available on dsm's with drum brakes?
