i know both brad penn and amsoil have been discuessed as long as all the others,im kinda stumped at which to go with, was looking at both properties of the oils, like the zinc and phosperous levels and they seem to be pretty close, ive seen people use both and have no complaints of either, now my question is,if they have close to the same properties as each other why is brad penn almost 1/3 the price of amsoil and if you could choose what would you choose brad penn or amsoil, trust me i know its been discuessed before but i wanna know what the majority of the drivers would choose, not looking at the different weights or anything just in general what oil company would you choose thanks

Normally, I use Brad Penn oil for engines, not transmissions.

I would stick with Redline gear oils for transmissions, transfer cases and rear differentials and keep the Brad Penn oil for the motor.

brad penn oil is more for older flat tappet push rod engines and amsoil cost more because it's synthetic

I run nothing but, Brad Penn! Never had a problem while running it, so I'm never going with anything else!

Personally, I have never used the Brad Penn oil. Comparing apples to oranges on paper the Amsoil looks to be a little better. I have been using a Mobil 1/BG MOA combo for years with no issues, but i'm thinking of trying Amsoil in the next engine I put together. Plus, a good friend of mine is a dealer which means I can get it pretty cheap.

Bradd Penn oils have more zinc content then the standard AMSOIL oil. If you get the expensive racing stuff, then they are comparable. Look up Forced Performance's oil write-up. It gives a good explanation and measurements of many different oils.

I too used the OEM EVO manual fluid in my tranny and the redline heavy shockproof in the transfer case

im currently using royal purple 75w-90 in my tranny. What are the advantages of using oem evo tranny fluid as to say royal purple? Does it handle the friction better, doesnt break down anyone know? How much does it run from the dealership?

I read the write up by force performance and was going to switch over to brad Penn but went on there website and they do not recommend there racing oil for cars running cats ( and yes I am running a cat). Now what oil do u recommend for cars running a cat? I have always ran mobile 1 but will change to something better.
