BOV working fine?

I have a 95 Eagle Talon TSI awd. It's a 5 speed and my brother has a 95 Eclipse GSX Automatic. I noticed his BOV was much louder than mine. We both have a stock setup for now so what gives? I only hear my BOV after like 4500 rpms and is a loud screech!! When I drive normal I never even hear it... His BOV makes noise everytime you let off the gas.. Even at low rpms I still hear a light woosh out of his.. He does have a aftermarket cone filter but thats it... does this make that much difference? Also his turbo is louder than mine... Should I be worried? My car pulls great and I know theres nothing wrong with the power... Can I adjust my BOV or something? or am I crazy?


I'm sure you guys have an answer for this.... You guys know way too much about 4g63...

Check your vacume lines to make sure everything is still connected. Also a boost leak test wont hurt, you may have a bad boost leak and your not builidng much boost before 4500 rpms to make it go off. Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? Are you getting compressor surge? (has a fluttering sound, like a pigeon)

Me and my friends checked for boost leak.... No problem.... Just a question... Shouldnt you be able to hear your BOV if you rev your engine while your in neutral? In my brothers car and my friends you can hear everytime.... Hmmm.. ANY HELP?

In neutral, the engine isn't under any load, so the turbo doesn't tend to build enough pressure.
