I just noticed that my greddy type s is mounted on my IC piping so that the vent is about 1 inch away from my fuse box

is this a problem, it was like that when i bought the car 6 months ago
so it has been working ok but i was wondering if it would be possible to loosen the screws that go around the top and rotate the assembly to move it away
i would probably have to loosen the adjustment screw as well

has anyone ever done this, know if it would work, or highly recommend i dont

thanks for the advice

its just air comming out of it. It should be ok. if you ever start shooting oil or something else out your BOV, you got bigger problems to worry about than your fuse box....

the reason i ask is that i think that the fuse box is interfering with the air discharge
because when i just had a first stage it made the normal whoosh but when i put the stage 2 on it would then go something like ch ch phoosh
the shop that did the install said it should not be a problem (mainly because the put the flange on funky which started the whole thing)

it actually sounds like the so called wolf whistle before it whooshes

my thought is the boost change. When you run more boost, the sound will change. If you think there is something wrong, take it to a shop and have them reweld the BOV flange farther up the pipe.

i was considering doing something like that but i didnt want to go through the trouble of taking the pipe off if i didnt have to
the stutter is annoying
but before i go a welding i wanted to try it pointed away from something in case the discharge pipe is getting back pressure from being too close to the fuse box
(its like 1/2 an inch now if not less)

BOV comes apart pretty easily
you dont have to take off the adjustment nut
just take off the allen head screws on the top and be careful that the spring doesnt fire the top off when the last screw is taken out
inside was a double spring that was interesting to press back down
