Bought another 1st gen, partin this one out

I recently acquired a 1992 tsi awd for a pretty good price. I'm just scavenging the parts I might be able to use off of it and parting out the rest. Not sure on the exact build date, I still have to pick it up. So here are my questions. When did they quit making the 6 bolts, I know it was in 92 sometime. The motor runs, the only mechanical problem is the transmission is shot. Also, when did they make the 4 bolt rears, I'm not really sure on the dates for that. Pretty much everything except the computer, injectors, rims, and taillights are for sale. The reason I'm parting it instead of building it is cuz the title is messed up, and the body is horrible. The vehicle was boxed in and forced off the road by the police, so all panels have been dented. Doors, bumpers, front fenders, and hood were all replaced from a 93 or 94, and everything else is bondoed up. Any help with the dates would be great, thanks ahead of time.

half way through 92 they switched to 7 bolts.

make a classified ad for the parts your selling....cant sell in the forums.

all the questions you have just asked can be answer by looking at the car! 6bolt motors the oilpan humps out near the crankpulley and the 4 bolt rearends have 4 bolts joining them to the axle.

thanks for what to look for i1nk83. I don't pick up the car till wednesday, so I'll just have to wait till then. I'm really hopin for a 6 bolt, but I guess the motor can be sold either way. I already know a guy who wants my 1st gen head, so I've almost got the car paid for!
