Hey guys, so after snooping around the web I think I found out that the bosch part number for the aem uego replacement sensor is the BOSCH 17014. Can anyone confirm this? I was on AEM's website and it says that to use their wideband you need to buy the sensor from them because it has some kind of special laser encrypting. Is this true? Can't I just buy the Bosch sensor and plug it up and go? Thanks for any help in advance. :thumb:

I had the VW part# for it that I always used to replace it.
I cross referenced your Bosch Part# and the VW Part# and it pulls the same listing @ Autozone. Click here for Autozone Link

For the record, I've been running that sensor above for over a year for my uego. It's just now starting to die.

So is this bosch o2 a cheaper way to go wideband, or is this a replacement o2 for someone already running a wide band? Any help would be appreciated. I was going to swap mine from one car to the other to try and save$$$ since im already tuned in the car its on. I have 3 boosted cars, thats like a grand in wideband........

***edit***

I know you would need gauges and o2 for each setup, but could one swap the controller between cars? Is there a DIY version of building a wideband kit?

Well if is the replacement sensor, then head to amazon, They have them for like 52 bucks shipped.

Well I ordered it last night so when it comes in I'm going to fire it up and let you know if it works.

Any follow up information on the Bosch 17014 Oxygen Sensor, OE Type Fitment ? PN 17014
They are on amazon, from my research, reading the reviews about it some people are using it for their AEM widebands, but I'm looking at the photo on the amazon website for the item and the connector is rounded. Anyone using this sensor can you please upload a photo of the connector if they have bought this specific "replacement" sensor?

It will work for the aem wideband. The connectors are different but I the connector of the aem fits inside the Bosch connector. So it works, you just can't clip it. I use one on my MTX-L

I can't personally say that i use them myself, but there are a handful of guys here in LA running these sensors on their widebands. Of course im sure that they dont last as long as the AEM ones though.

That sounds sketchy to me man. Are you protecting the connection somehow or is it snuggly in place? How sturdy is it? If it doesn't pan out for me I'm gonna bite the bullet and go with a AEM direct replacement from a vendor

part no> 17014 also works with Zeitronix...
