Seen it? I just watched it. I must say, it was a great movie. Beats Fast & the Furious. It had better acting, more mechanically knowledgeable, great plot, etc.

The movie is based around this kid and his STi. Though I wish it was at least an Evo, it was awesome.

At the beginning of the movie, it shows some other kids in a Hondahh tuning it at a stop sign with the laptop. It was amazing what the actors said, what adjustments they were making, everything.

Definitely a good watch if you have yet to see it. I watched it on Netflix.

It was great except for the part where the Subi

"Gets spark, fuel, compression, no leaks and the timing belt didn't break"

So the dad reaches down, says "Oh, you didn't tighten down the crank sensor, probably your poly mounts that wiggled it loose."

That drove me nuts.

Never mind it came out on video in Jan. I will rent tonight and see how it is.

That was probably the worse part/quote. But even that wasn't too bad.

I was excited at first because the part that led up to the STi being "out of commission" when he outran that Stang, his CEL was coming on. At first I thought it was because he was getting "knock". But turned out he had worse problems.

The racing (for the most part) wasn't too bad at all. The sounds were alright. No BOV noise replaced for nitrous or anything LOL. The STi sounded like a Subi and not some indy car.

You won't regret it. I definitely think this movie out-did (all or most) F&F movies. I doubt there will be a sequel but if there was, I would watch it for sure.

Oh this is that movie made my one of the vwvortex members. Im definitely watching this tonight. Looking forward to a more accurate car movie.

Its not too bad. Protagonist is a soft pu$$. antagonist is a f@g bag. chick-flick-sub-plot aside, not too bad. subies are kinda cool. mustangs are chick cars.

maybe it was lackluster because I watched it on my phone on netflix...

x2 on at least it didn't have any stupid excess sounds, and no nitrous use IIRC. cars sounded more or less like the real thing.

I vote: Its worth a try, but don't get your hopes too high up.

Gonna have to watch that tonight, since it is on netflix!

Easily worst part of the movie. Most of the technical lingo was at least close, but one cannot simply pop a CPS back on with the engine fully assembled. Oh well, at least the floor pan didn't fall out :p

But overall I thought it was okay. Of course I could have made it better :D, but it was definitely more realistic than F&F and 10x better than most "tuner car" movies on Netflix.

Eh, it was pretty good I'd say. The last race was BS though.

I'm a big fan of Initial D (the live action movie, not animated). It's dubbed on Netflix, which is nearly impossible to tell if they are bad actors or not. :D

I've seen the movie, and it's good; I can prove it! Here's the fully assembled car, intake mufflers, belt guard, and all.

If you look closely enough, you should be able to see the crank sensor directly beneath the alternator.

If the bolt is left loose, the sensor could slide out of the hole, and give crazy intermitent spark. Push it in, and "BAM" fixed.

i thought it was pretty good. although i only remember the first half.

The ending is pretty dumb. You don't gain 30MPH and 3 seconds off your ET like that LOL. Although it was a lot more accurate than the F&F movies. Definitely worth the watch but not all parts are realistic. Wish my high school experience was like that though.

It was a good car movie. If my dad had a turbo 6, I don't think he would sell it to buy parts for my car. Over all a good movie though! Pretty much subie vs. The world haha.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus.

I gotta see this. I love the f&f movies minus Tokyo drift regardless of how lame they are LOL.

Ah, you are correct. I guess you could pop the sensor back into it's place. Still an unrealistic scene, but not impossible I suppose. :D

I just watched the movie and personally loved it! why wasnt this movie advertised or in theaters? i thought it was better than all the fast and furious even with a bunch of no name actors and low budget film.. great movie! :thumb: they should have the director make another one with more advertisments to get people to hear about it, and more cash to make it even better
