Hey guys I have searched about the BW turbos on here but I found no info as to where to feed them off of. I currently have a BW S374 standard getting rebuilt and I have no clue where I should feed the turbo off of either the head or the oil filter housing.

any help would be appreciated.

im feeding from the OFH with BSE and i didnt port the relief valve. There is a restrictor built into the fitting that the line is attached to, im just not sure what size it is.
Im not seeing any adverse effects running it like this. I might be able to get a bit quicker spool running from the head, but im not blowing any seals in the turbo or anything...

Get on the mazda forums. The speeds run a borg warner setup. Ive got one laying out in my garage. Im wanting to say they have a head feed w restrictor but im not 100% on that.

these turbos arent BB why would they need restrictors?

Because most journal bearing turbos require a max of about 60psi oil pressure, and a DSM with balance shafts removed can produce over 100psi.

The only true way to determine whether you need a restrictor or not is to figure out what the rated oil pressure is for your turbo, then tee in a pressure sender on your oil feed line and see what your pressure is, then add a restrictor as needed.

Some may agree some may not.

Mine is fed off the head with no restrictor and no balance shafts in the motor. S362 has been on the car for a year now.
 
I spoke with david from bullseye power, I told him my exact application and he said feed it from the OFH with no restrictor using a -4an and a min size -10 return.

This is what I was told also from Bullseye Power. So mine has been feed from the OFH with a FP 4AN feed and a #10 return. So far so good after three months of daily driving.

Another point that was mention is to make sure the engine has adequate crank-case pressure ventilation.:thumb:

Thanks, so you mean i should get a catch can with -10AN lines and such?
 
Mine from the head using -4AN and -12AN return. Never see any smoke after a hard run on the dyno and track.

Well so I fed the turbo off the OFH with no restrictor and i found my comp side to be a bit wet with oil...not a pool, just damp....did i blow my seals?? I just finished the car 2 days ago and ive been driving it. I dont see any smoke or anything.....this sucks.

Any help? should i try that restrictor or feed off the head?

Oil Inlet Restrictor - .065" hole size 1/8" NPT (for Journal bearing and larger GT BB): atpturbo.com is this what i need? and all i do is unhook where my -4an line goes into the -4an fitting and put that restrictor in between??

are you running a -3 or -4 feed line
