Please complete your profile and re-phrase your question. Remember we are not looking at what you're looking at so explain it like you're talking to some 3 yr old. I think you're asking which nipple to plug your BOV vacuum hose to on the intake manifold, maybe this diagram will help.

yes the recirculatory valve/bov (recirc in my case) is what i'm talking about. it needs a boost and vacuum source which would be from the intake manifold somewhere. and i forgot which nipple it was. sorry i'm new to the dsm but i've been in the turbo nissan scene for years. thanks for any replies.

oldman your link didnt work, i think you accidently pasted your post as the url.

2 nipples on the intake mani, one goes to your PVC port, the other can be used.. it's on the right hand side if you're looking at it dead on in the engine bay.

ok so tucked up under there on the right? near the coil pack. i thought there were two solenoids occupying those. i'll check when i get home from work. thanks again

There are total of four nipples on a 1G IM.

1. Brake booster nipple on the back side.

2. PCV, pointing straight up.

3. Two left pointing to the front of the car. The small one on the driver side is for the fuel pressure solenoid and the big one on the passinger side is for the BOV.

That's the one for FPS, move to the passinger side about 5 inches and you'll find the one you're looking for.

thanks again that should clear everything up. at first i was thinking there were more than four but then i just remembered those others are on the throttle body. thanks for the help guys.

it was hiding under the fuel injector harness OMG . had one more question. on the intake piping between the maf and compressor there is 3 lines.

1 for the recirc valve
1 for valve cover breather
1 just seems to go under the battery but i cant find where it goes. doesnt seem to have a crimp on it as if it wasnt on anything in the first place. could anyone tell me where this one goes?

and it was after the maf so i didnt want to leave it open so i plugged it.

once again thanks. i'll leave it plugged. but i'm still curious as to why that port on the canister is already blocked off. if i'm thinking of the correct port it's the middle one on the top of the canister, w/ a blocker already on it. is it used on cali emission standard vehicles?
