Boost surge?

When I get onto the boost and let off usually around 4000rpm's it surges and acts a little weird. I know that this usually happens when people vent the blow off valve and such but I have done no such thing.

right now the weather is also hella cold like -25f out side.. i've been letting the car warm up nicely. (just in case that helps)

Also, i know my O2 sensor needs to be replaced, but I wouldn't see that causing the problem.

so any help would be appreciated!

Though it may not be your venting the bov it does sound like a problem with the bov. Maybe it is faulty.

Check the signal line to it to make sure it isn't torn. Make sure there is nothing blocking the small port on the underside of the flange if you are using gasket maker on it.

Is it crushed at all?
