Boost spiking? Test/tune video pull

Need to know mods. Turbo, exhaust, fuel, tuning devices. You're most likely hitting fuel cut because you are boost spiking, but we need to know your fuel mods to figure that.

Sounds like your clutch is slipping when it spikes too..

Should get bigger injectors, the only way to tune for a bigger turbo without them is a AFPR to up the fuel pressure, but then you still wont be able to get very high boost on a Big 16g with stock injectors. Plus, the stock FPR is having a hard time controlling that 255 fuel pump, you could be running super rich at times you don't want to. Anyway, if you don't have bigger injectors, anything over 15 psi I can see you hitting fuel cut.

When it hits "fuel cut" what does it do. Stall out, feel like its losing power, or feels like you hit a brick wall for a sec?

May need to port out the O2 housing and/or hotside to the turbo, that normally alleviates spiking, but could be a problem like a bad boost controller, spring in the boost controller is too stiff, or incorrect install of it.

Im glad you caught the clutch slip, i wasnt sure if it was that or not, because it only does it while boost spikes. :/

What about 550cc or to small? And u cant hear it in the video but is going . Waaampwaaampwamp every time i hit boost. Sorry thats the only way to discribe it guys >_<

whats hotside the turbo? Ill also check mbc for leak?

I ran 550s on an evo3 16 at 18 psi with no problems, so should be good. I don't have sound so I can't hear about that clutch. But the hotside is the exhaust side of the turbo. I had a 14b once that boost spiked and I ported out the O2 and the hotside and it was gone.

@ my1g, and yes i ran it on 25psi

Not with the mods listed you didnt or as said above if you did you shouldn't have...

Try filling out your profile with Everything done an you will more then likely get responses that are more helpful.

Or will have to deal with the fact that what people are telling you is the truth...

Also the fact that you ran 25psi with a nearly stock fuel system may have a bit to do with this Problem
