No where Fun, Pennsylvania
I've installed a 2 1/2" straight pipe in place of my cat. Now I have a complete 2 1/2 turboback exhaust with no cat. I also installed an o2 dump along with that. Now I run insane amounts of boost, and I only have the stock injectors and fuel pump still. I have my manual boost controller (from turbonetics) turned all the way down. I will build about 9 psi, then when I'm really on it WOT or even 70% throttle, my boost will fly up to about 18 psi @ 5000 RPMS. Keep in mind this is not even flooring it. So what I'm basically asking is, how can I keep the boost down, sooooo much creep it's insane. My old setup was the stock housing with a cat, and my problem was I had too much back pressure and I would actually lose boost, now I'm getting too much. AHHH  Thanks for your time/help!

You can try updating your vehicle profile first before asking questions like this. :)

Ok, in the meantime, if youre running a stock T25 with no cat, you will have boost creep. Try a higflow cat if you want, or install a new 17PSI wastegate on the t25 if you plan to keep it.

Sorry. It's a 1st Gen 93 Talon TSi FWD. Mods include 2.5" turboback - no cat, UICP including throttle body elbow, S-AFC, o2 dump, manual boost controller, stock 14b, 2g manifold, k&n filter, intake pipe, mmcd palm datalogger. That's all I can think of. Basicaly everything in stage 1 300HP except for fuel pump.

Take the boost controller out of the equation and run straight off of the wg actuator and see where that gets you. That will eliminate the controller or your adjustments and tell you the minimum boost your setup will carry.

What is involved in that? I plan on getting a full 3" very soon, but wont be doing the turbo for a few months.

Port your turbine inlet to the point where you can see the wastgate hole as you look straight down, port the wastgate oulet so the wastgate door will open fully. This will allow a easier path for the wastgate. I just did this and now I'm holding boost all the way to redline, I use to creep to 22psi.

Ok so what does that involve? Take the line from my compressor outlet pipe directly to the wastegate? Never heard of that. I keep hearing porting porting porting, is there an alternative?

yep, you got it. It very well may just creep up anyway but atleast you can do this simple test to make sure it isn't boost controller related and not just bad creep.

If it really is boost creep porting and a larger flapper and external are your options.
