boost leak pushing through coolant

just installed an Evo3 and performed a boost leak test and can hear what sounds like water droplets when i apply over 10 psi, there is no actual water dripping on the floor but there is definitely some activity in the coolant lines. I also hear an air leak, i thought it was the jpipe but i isolated the leak and found that its leaking from the internals of the turbo, are there seals inside that i can replace or does it need to be sent out for a rebuild? How do you take apart the turbo? i see a large C clip holding the compressor housing, is it as simple as just removing this clip?

Has the engine been started with the new turbo on it?
Did you prime the turbo with oil before you tried the leak test?

To take the compressor cover off, yes, you remove the large snap-ring. Be very careful, it's a very powerful ring and if it slips off your snap-ring pliers can hurt. There is a rubber O-ring that helps seal the compressor housing and center section. It's very possible that this O-ring could be deteriorating, especially if the turbo is used.

delta448 - it was actually installed & primed last week and leak tested today, it ran great and i already logged a few pulls @ 16psi with it

MrBoxx - yes the turbo is used but the seller claimed only 10K miles on it, any other seals that i may as well replace while im there or is it just the Oring?

And anyone know what size Oring and what material it is? McMaster Carr has a wide selection of Orings offered in several different materials...Buna N', Viton, PTFE, silicone...? I want to order ahead of time and minimize down time since the car seems to run fine

alright i opened up a 14b and measured the Oring, does anyone know if the Oring sizes are the same between a 14b and an Evo3, they are both TD05H housings.

It should be the same o ring. My old turbos o ring was completely shot when I tore it apart. It came out in hard pieces.
