97 Eclipse GS-T with following mods...

Ram Air Intake
BOV
Front Mount (on the way)
14B Turbo
Apexi S-AFC
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Fuel Pump Rewire (on the way)
Thermal Exhaust 3" piping 5" tip
Test Pipe

Now the problem.... When I try to floor it and go when my boost gauge reads around 14 15 16 psi the car like acts dead. Its sputters badly and doesnt go. I thought maybe my fuel system but I just upgraded to a 255 pump.

Could it be leaks? If so can someone explain to me how it wouldnt let me go at all?

Serious Help needed

Thanks for all who helps!

Check for boost leaks, hoses, loose hose clamps or other visible stuff. Make sure that its not ignition related. The sputtering under load could be caused by bad wires/plugs or bad coil, plugged fuel filter. Check your safc setting and make sure you are not running too rich. If all checks out OK check compression for a blown head gasket..:) It also could be fuel cut.

your missing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on your mods list, maybe the 255 overan the stock fpr, causing it to dump fuel like theres no tommarow? and you say u just upgraded to the 255, so that cna be a possibility.

But try cheap things first like a boost leak test, compression test, and how do the plugs look?

I just put the fuel pump in today, I ordered a fpr tonight, but I had this problem when I had my stock pump so I dont think its cause the pump. Ill get new plugs and wires tho and do that boost leak test.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help!!

Just a suggestion, do the Fuel Pump rewire mod when you put the 255 LPH pump in. You won't be sorry. If you don't it will take about 30 second or more of cranking to get the car started just about everytime.

i did that already, I just ordered spark plugs and wires along with a fpr.

But thanks anyways

My wires are brand new along with my plugs and I have a rewire kit but it still takes kinda awhile to start my car :(
