Boost issues, maybe bov or wastegate?

last week after my fmic install one of the couplers blew off a pipe at around 15psi. I got it home, scrapped the ebay aluminum pipes for a mild steel mandrel setup i welded together. I have no leaks at all right now but boost is still reaching 13 like nothing. i removed my mbc so i dont mess anything up. the thing is the car isnt reacting to the boost, the gauge shoots up with little feeling in the car, almost like when a clutch slips, you can watch the rpm's rise but the car doesnt go any faster.... im running a greddy rs bov with a stock t25 and stock wg. it sounds like a leak behind the intake manifold after startup, if i turn the biss open and let the idle go around 1300 i hear a clicking that seems to be coming from the intake itself. with the tb open just a bit vacuum goes from -23 at idle to -10 instantly and every once in a while it feels like the turbo is catching and i get neck lashing bursts of power...... I don't see how a leak in the intake would cause this..... I used a hand pump pressure tester on a spare wg, it opened under the pressure fairly easy and i tried the wg on the car, it opened the the same but in order for the wb itself to open i had to help it. it opened about the same distance as the actuator i tried off the car though. in neutral the bov never used to open/close except for at high rpm, now it opens at 3k like it just did a 3rd gear pull. im lost as to whats causing the issue, too many things stick out to me. i know theres no leaks in the ic piping, will it hurt anything if i manually open the throttle during a boost test to see if maybe i can hear a release? the lack of power makes me think its the wastegate opening prematurely and letting all the power go right out the exhaust.... im just truely lost, please help!

i had this problem my boost would shoot up to 30 RIGHT away with my MBC disconnected after the hose blew off. I wouldnt feel any power difference from even 5lbs, just infinate boost. Check your MBC hose routes and look for disconnections. Good luck man! post back!

I would check the intake manifold gasket also to make sure there isn't a leak there.

i did a leak test off the throttle body elbow this morning, found a leak in the throttle body/manifold junction as well as one of the injectors. I have it all back together now and it works alot better, boost is there atleast, strange though because it idles good, i get on it in any gear and the boost jumps to 16 for a second, then goes down to 10 and slowly climbs up to 15.... and my mbc is disconnected still. i did find an exhaust leak but i don't know if it would cause that much of a difference. I'm going out to the shop right now to fix that..... i"ll post my results.

well, i fixed the exhaust leaks, it sounds better now but theres not much of a difference performance wise. im going to do another leak test to make sure nothing else opened up. its seeming more and more like a bov issue, i dont understand why its boosting so high with no mbc though, stock is around 12 and its going as high as 18.... why?

shes running great with the exception of my greddy tvvc not behaving, sets fine to 13 & 15 but doesnt like 14 for some reason. The issue at hand ended up being the #1 injector seal. I made a leak tester to fit the throttle body elbow and found it right away.....
