I just "finished" installing my boost gauge I ordered a bit ago before I have to go to work, and I think I have a bit of a problem but am not sure. I haven't ever done this before, so I am only assuming I do have it setup correctly. The thing concerning me is that when I start up my car, the needle on the gauge does as shown in the pic:

Call me crazy.. but I dont believe the needle should just be hanging out way down there when my car is idling? It appears to read correctly when I actually get on it. I T'd into the line on the fuel pressure solenoid. I think I did the correct line, it would be the one on the left side of the solenoid? Any help with this would be great, if its not a problem with how I setup the gauge is there something else that could be causing this with the car?

i haven't messed with boost gauges in a long long time but mine was t'd some where else not off the fuel solenoid ill check it out and repost tonight

Are you sure you don't have any vacuum leaks?

The only thing I am currently aware of is that I need to replace the rings and gaskets on my tb. I found out it was leaking when I did a boost leak test last week. Hopefully I will be able to do that tomorrow, would that be the cause of this?

Vacuum leaks would cause it to read less vac, around -18-20 vac is a good spot for a boost gauge to read at idle.
