Boost Creep (oldman read this)

If all i need was the fuse for the alternator i will test and make the video tonight... Itll be a short video like 1 minute or 2 at most just enough to show yall what happens. I also need someone to post it. So ill need their email adress to mail it to em
 
have you resolved your issue yet? i am having the EXACT same problem.
me and my buddy have the EXACT same setup except two things. he has an expensive blitz i-color boost controller, and i have a turboxs( i have tried using another boost controller with the same issue) and he has a 2.5 inch exhaust and i have a 3 inch
we have ported exahust manifolds, dsmlink, evoIII 16g, intake, injectors, fuel pump, fmic. his car sits PERFECTLY at 15 psi and wont spike. mine on the other builds boost, freezes/stalls for a sec, then will boost to about 21 psi. my bcs is removed. and i have the boost controller hooked up to the bov because of aftermarket intercooler piping. both of us do NOT have ported o2 housings as of yet, couldnt get them in time. but mine should be here anyday... i was too lazy to port it myself. anyways... its not like i am getting infiniti boost, it stops once it reaches like 21 psi. i have done a boost leak test and fixed two leaks coming from the upper intercooler pipe and the biss. PLEASE HELP.

The BOV line is not a source. Make a new hole on the intercooler pipe and either make a nipple or take your old pipe and weld the nipple on your new pipe. BOV line is manifold vacuum, but your boost controller needs ported vacuum source like your intercooler pipe.
 
is there anywhere else i can get the source from? i really dont wanna wreck the piping. but my buddy has his on the bov too. but ill definetely try it, but anywhere but the pipe?
 
Plenty of people, myself included, use the BOV line for wastegate control without any issues. During my struggle to fix boost creep I swapped in an 1g turbo "elbow" that has the nipple which made things worse. My turbo would spike initially to 16psi bleed off to 14psi then climb back up and creep till 20+ psi if I let it.

Are either of you running CATs? I would go ahead and assume that your larger exhaust is the reason you see creep and he doesn't. Like everyone says (and it is true!) if the turbo housing is ported right the turbo will not creep.

That sounds about right, boost leaks will usually lessen boost creep ;), same season why some start to creep when they upgrade from the 2G BOV.
 
I found that with my big16g and a 3" dp, grinding the material on the turbine housing behined the wasetgate to let the wastegate fully open helped alot.
 
It is important to note though that the WG flapper will never open all the way, the actuator doesn't have the range.

I read the whole thread and I can't believe nobody mentioned this... the damn actuator doesn't even open far enough to warrant cleaning the back of the flapper so it can open all the way. It will never get there anyway.

I have this same problem and for the life of me I can't figure it out. For at least 3 months I drove the car without creep at 14 psi. Now I can't go to reline without having the turbo spin out of control. I checked all the conventional reasons for a car to start creeping out of nowhere and I still can't figure it out. The car also has no power any more. Anybody have any suggestions on what to look for in terms of boost creep. Even as far as fuel/timing affecting the ability to hold boost.
