i would have posted this in one of the other fourms but since im new i cant so heres my question i have decided that im gonna buy a boost controler in the next 2 weeks my cars kinda stock but i just wanna turn up the boost a lil whatever i buy it will be a electronic one but i was wondering should i get apexi AVCR or the greddy profec e-o1 i was going towards the greddy cause i like the screen and for later down the road it seems like it has alot of stuff to expand on but ialso like the gear base boost function on the apexi

so can i get some opnions ?

well my bro has a AVCR on his 300zx twin and it is really nice... it has guages built in for one of the displays and they move just like a real guage, it isnt all choppy or anything. also with the AVCR one can control injector pulse and fuel maps and whatnot. i have never seen the GReddy but i am sure if GReddy makes it, it will be quality. if i was you, i'd probably just go with the one that you think looks better or whichever is cheaper.

with your current mod list (i'm guessing you're still on the t-2small) You could turn up the boost a tiny bit, but you're not going to get very far. Get a boost guage pronto if you don't have one. With full exhaust, i'd imagine that you are probably boost creeping some, and you should probably find out how much.

The best non-staged boost controller available right now IMO is the Hallman Pro- It has a ceramic bearing instead of metal, and as such responds more quickly (due to the bearing being significantly lighter).

I would go with a manual controller and save the extra couple hundred bucks on mods that will give you more bang for the buck.

Couldn't of said it better myself.

I don't believe this is correct. The avcr can display injector pulse but it does not control it, nor fuel maps.
