Boost controler HELP!?!?

i put a boost gauge on my 95 gst. and it was reading 11psi in first gear then about 13to14psi in 2nd3erdand4th. i put a boost controler on this week and it still reads the same i played with it screwed it all the way in and all the way out and it still read the same
i did notice that in first gear when i got on it there was somtimes this kinda screaming sound? is that a leak? help please?

If your still running the stock BOV, you probably wont be able to boost past 13 or 14psi. It leaks too much to hold any higher boost. The same thing happened on my GS-T. I put an aftermarket one on, and i was able to hit 20psi(I wouldnt suggest this on stock turbo/fuel system).

okay, but how come im geting 14psi in 2 3 4 5th gears but only 11psi in first then it falls off right before i shift ? the stock BOV says its good up to 16.
I just went back out and tested it and i screwed the MBC all the way to its lowest seting and i still was runing the same Boost . i checked everything and i believe its hooked up right.

i've seen many post where people were getting less boost in 1st than in all other gears...could be the amount of load ur putting on the engine...dont know a technical answer to this

My stock 2g BOV could only handle like 13psi. You probably only make 11psi in 1st because there is less load on the engine than in the other gears.

But, when you turned it all the way down it still stayed the same? I guess you might have hooked it up wrong. I would recheck it again, because at its lowest setting, you should be at 9-10psi.

okay so answer is. just and see if i hooked it up right. and get a new BOV hopfully that will fix it
should i go with the 1g BOV?

But im still stuck with the Question when its turned down i get 14 psi in 2 3 4 5 right ?
then when i turn it up i get 14psi the same? thanks for the help

The 1g BOV would be best for the price and performance.

If your boost controller is hooked up right and its still not going lower, bypass the boost controller by hooking a vaccuum souce straight to the wastegate actuator. If you get low boost, your boost controller may be bad. If you still run the same boost, it could be a problem with the wastegate.

Hook the vaccuum hose that goes into the boost controller right to the wastegate acuator.

Which pressure can do stock 2G engine? I install aftermarket gauge (manuall from Autometer.... runing 11PSI-Top!)
on 1st,2nd,3rd,4th..still 11PSI Is it O.K.?

My 1G does the same.... First gear does about 11 psi and all other gears do 15. I bought a cheap ebay MBC. I heard thats the reason why. What MBC do you have?

not u... I'm taking about the original poster... if all gears are 11 psi for you I think thats the highest you can take it without a mbc...

Hey folks look at his car info he has a 92 it already has a 1G BOV. Mine holds great up to 19Ppsi when I hit fuel cut.

That's normal, 11psi is what the stock BCS allows you to run. If you install a mbc, you should be able to run 13-14psi with stock 2g bov and fuel pump. As for the max psi for a stock engine, I don't know and don't think you need to worry about it.

ahah wow I am the original poster,
yeah i Run 11psi in first and 14 in the rest of the gears,
i bought a cheep MBC off ebay, But i pretty sure that i have boost creep thats why im not able to turn it down, but i would think that i should still be able to turn first gear up right??
when i get on it in first it hits 11 and falls off to bout 9 by the time i shift,
and before i installed the MBC i Installed my gauge and im pretty sure that i was running the same, 11psi first and then 14. So that probably would be boost creep so i orderd another blow off valve a first gen, and i would like to look at my wast gate and see if the flapper is sticking or somthin but i have no idea how to take it off anybody help me out???

And yeah this post is for my 95 Gst This name Jdr7919 it is my brothers he has a 91 GSX. which is a freaking BAD CAR! so thats why im on here i gotta do as much stuff as i can he can't be out running me for to long but he already has about 3seconds faster in the 1/4 mile soooooo i got some work to do here aiight im out,!!
