I've had this problem for awhile and it's starting to bother me. If i'm going around a right corner only, at around 60 mph or faster the car falls flat on its face. The rpms don't seem to drop on the tach but they sound like it, and there is nothing there when I push the gas. A few seconds later it come back and drives fine again. Left corners are fine though. What would cause this?? Thanks

Read all literature on this site, VFAQ, and road races' websites reguarding Crankwalk. This is one of the signs of it. :barf:

YES.. Not as common but yes. The TQ converter pushes too. If there were'nt pushing and pulling forces on a crank a thrust bearing would'nt have two thrust surfaces on it on every engine on the planet.

Great! Thats all I need. :barf: Its been doing it for alittle over a year and never had a ticking and clutch engagment problem  Would the other things happen or can you just get one syptom?

It could be a bad connection or broken wire.. Check the crank first.. VFAQ has the check.

Fuel starvation as the fuel sloshes around in the tank. I wouldn't be so hasty to assume crankwalk.

Yeah the battery is straped down. Its even done it on a full tank so I don't know about fuel sloshing around, I have thought of that. I'll check the crank just in case but, if it is C/W wouldn't it have gone by now? It has been awhile.

It's an easy check and will make you all happy if it is'nt.....

It could be a bad crank or cam sensor.. Which would mimic some symptoms of CW since CW takes out the crank sensor...

You would probably get a CEL... Just like 6blt swaps with bad wiring jobs throw a misfire CEL....

I'd just start at the crank..

Then the fuel system etc.

Check the ignition system wire by wire.

Check all the battery cables. Check across them with a continuity meter while wiggling etc. Like a probe on the ECU batt lead and one on the bat. Wiring gremlins can be a bi*** to find sometinmes.

Start at the nastiest posibility to hopefully eliminate it as the culprit.

I don't have a CEL but I will check everything. Could a bad fuel pump cause that to happen even with a full tank

Well if the Crank angle sensor is clicking than its proly CW. See The crank will sometimes push out far enough, and move laterally enough to hit the crankangle sensor. This amkes a click, click sound especially when in a turn. This can eventually throw the Timing belt off completely. I'm not saying it is CW but check this first. :dsm:
