After installing my Walbro 190, my car kinda "bogs" at WOT at about 14-15psi. It no longer feels smooth throughout the entire rpm range. It feels a little lumpy. I let off the gas right when I feel it because I don't want to risk anything. Is it that I'm not getting enough fuel? My light show Autometer A/F gauge I'm sure is inaccurate and stays on the lean side on WOT. But it never read that before the new pump. I will be getting a AEM Uego Wideband soon along w/ a logger. What could it be guys? I'm tired of not being able to step on it..

Also, I noticed that on my Spyder, there are 3 electrical harnesses on the fuel pump assembly. Do all Spyder's have 3? What is the 3rd one for?

Thanks..

The 190 won't overrun the stock fpr, so I don't think that's a problem. Maybe you just didn't get things tight where you put the pump on the sending unit. You might be dumping some of the fuel back out in the tank if the lines aren't tight at the pump motor. Just a thought though.

I'm thinking that too.. Because the first time I took out the pump to upgrade (by the time I took everything apart to install the new one, I realized I had the wrong pump) and put it back together, I was having that same problem but I could feel more of the surge/bog/stutter...plus the car wouldn't start right away. Then when I installed the new/correct pump, it started like normal but was still having the stuttering problem at WOT around 13-15psi mostly on higher gears... I'll recheck the assembly and make sure everything's tight. Any other suggestions?

Just curious so I have to ask. Do you have like new spark plugs in the car? It could be ignition related if it's just breaking up on the top end and still running fine everywhere else. If you have any doubt about the plugs or wires I would buy new ones and see if that helps you any. If they're new then fine, but that's the only other thing that I can really think of right now.

Alright :thumb: Hopefully that will cure your troubles and she'll be runnin good for you again. Usually if you just go back to the basics you can solve your problems. That would be an easy, quick fix if that turns out to be it. Good luck friend.

Actually I haven't changed my spark plugs for over 20k miles atleast... Either way, I'll get a new set of NGK's..

LOLoLOL wow, don't hate your dsm :-(

bpr7es don't waste your time with the 6's

Sounds like you will need them since u are already in a 190.
