255 Fuel pump installation kit?

Hey guys I own a 98 GSX and just put in few mods bigger turbo now time for bigger pump. I loosened everythings and took off fuel lines now I can pull the pump, I just bought the 255 walbro itself no install kit, do I need an install kit or can I just use original parts? All I have is the pump itself

No, you will need the kit.

The oring is a differant size vs the stock one. WIthout it, it will not hold pressure.

I ended up using a peice of hose and come clamps. I used the proper install kit for it. After a few months it leaked pressure.

The walbro also uses a slightly different sock than the stock one. A different plug, a different bottom rubber isolator, and as stated the o ring, the walbro also has a little plastic piece that goes on the end of the pump outlet.

I thought on the 2g it has the same plug; I just ordered the pump kit from STM would that work?

On the 2g the electrical plug is the same. But as said everything else is differant. If you ordered the kit from STM it will work.
