I am very, very, VERY upset. I ordered a fiberglass blitz bodykit off of ebay for my 96' Eclipse. I should of known it was too good to be true. I bought the kit for 200.00 with 150.00 shipping. It was brand new from a company. The ENTIRE kit has to be cut in places, grinded, smoothed out just in order to fit. My father has been doing body work for 30 years and has never seen these. The company refused to take it back. Just in the sideskirts alone we've had to cut the ends to loosen the tension, then refiberglass it. I would like some advice on what i should do. Resell it and get a new kit? Go through all the hassle and make the thing fit? How come everyone elses kits are fine. How much is everyone else paying for their kits and WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THEM??????If you get nothing else out of this thread, just be cautious. If it is too good to be true..... IT PROBABLY IS!!!!!

if your dad did body work for 30 years....then why not just have him make it fit?
as far as selling it...your going to be selling something to someone knowing it doesnt fit. therefor doing the same thing the company has done to you, and you will probably hear from the buyer again in a bad way.
I personally would only ever buy from a known body kit company. nothing off ebay. you never know what your getting there.
good luck

so what i said stands true, dont order kits from ebay :thumbdown

btw. almost any body kit you buy is going to need some modification to make fit. Another thing to watch out for is when buying a primered body kit, if you look at the paint you may notice pin holes all throughout it. This is due to some bodykit companies just primering right onto the fiberglass without putting any filler/coating between. might want to have the shop you get it painted at (or if your doing it yourself) fix this problem accordingly before painting. (i ran into this problem as well as fitment problems on my 1g body kit.

Sometimes you don't get screwed over by ebay. I got a evo front end for like 100 shipped. It didn't fit perfect but pretty damn good. Only complaint is that I wanted the sensei front not the evo version. I hate those little vents in front :thumbdown

Same thing happend to me the Street Fighter front fit pretty good but the add said 95-96 and they sent me a 97 front so I had to buy 97 headlights. But the rear bumper was way off #### that I got the body parts stripped. And I am getting a new kit

I still have no idea why people think they are getting a deal when they see a kit for "cheap." The quality is going to suck. You will spend more on making a bad kit fit than if you had bought the more expensive 1 to begin with. Just wait it out and buy the best parts. Ebay bodykits= crap. Buy stuff that may have fitment issues from a retailer, not an individual. Make sure there is a return policy. Don't risk being stuck with garbage.

Have you every bought a body kit? I got a Buddy Club from Japan and it fit like shit it dont matter how much you spend aftermarket will never fit perfect

from japan........... and they are in FL....?

Mine fit perfect, and you get what you pay for.

welcome to the world of fiberglass body kits. as stated above, you get what you pay for. i paid close to 800 bucks for my rudora sides and buddy rear alone. they fit alright, but the Z3's fit like shit. ive got about 20 hours apeice in my fenders and now they fit like the stock ones. just keep working and eventually you'll thank yourself for the extra time.

i got the generation 3 street scene urenthen body kit , cost a little , but a friend of mine owns a body shop and said he put on an ebay bodykit, and the kid he did it for would of been money ahead to buy one of quailty like mine in the long run , so screw ebay, which has cheated me like all of you too , $150 for iceman intake , never got it :thumbdown

got cheated on a set of Z3's, an invader front bumper AND a set of projectors on ebay last year. havent been back since.

LOL thats funny because the othe night i was lookin at the blitz kits on ebay thinkin about how good of a deal they were... If you're dad has been doin some work on it just keep it and make it work. All kits need some adjustments and working out...

street scene bodykits are some of the best kits they make(from what i hear) , it still took us 2 months to put it on(nights and weekends), but then again , we made brackets and plates for every pressure point, my friend that owns the bodyshop said he had his best two body men on that ebay bodykit for 60 hours, and it still wasnt all that great , its not just the fitment issue , he said you could take and bow the fiberglass with your thumbs it was so thin.... good quailty fiberglass isnt suppose to do that...LOL, it was suppose to be the 7 layer to, he said maybe 3 layers , - no disrespect for people who own these kits, im just trying to prove facts here -

I'm just sayin that this blitz kit is too short on the side skirts, a bit crooked from the mold, the back needs to be sanded, chopped. I haven't even gotten to the front yet. But the only reason i'm thinking of keeping of it is that i got the whole kit brand new plus shipping for $350. It's gonna take time, but all things that are worth it take time.

Aerotrends.com, Evo front, Low blitz sides, blitz rear. $450 shipped to a business. Had to talk the guy down a lil to get that price though. Fitment was overall good i guess, took some body filler for pinholes and imperfections, but front and rear lined up good and the side skirts were a pain just like all side skirts. But anyways good luck.

Thanks for letting me know the ins and outs of ebay body kit auctions because I wanted to buy one for my 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi I just picked up. I can't imagine paying $550 or more and never receiving a kit or a really jacked up kit.

I thought you could trust Ebay if the person you are buying from has a REALLY GOOD EBAY RECORD? oHH WELL :thumbdown

Why don't you post your complaint on www.vendors-reviewed.com? Me and Mike (boostedinaz) set this up so we can complain directly and you can let everyone know who it is and so forth? That way, others can avoid it, plus if you let them know you have complained to others. The company might decide to work with you better.

Good Luck! Joe

It's not really ebays falt! It's the companys and people that sell there crap though ebay.YES I have bought a kit through ebay from andys and the sides were 2in sort. The front was like 7in to wide. I had to take the and cut the whole thing in half and take those 7in out. I glass it all back together and it was still 2in wider so I flaired the fenders out. The back had a crack on the bottum but fit alright. Needless to say the sides arent on the car the front is cracking everywhere else and I wish I would of kept it stock. :thumbdown
