Hey guys. I am thinking to paint my calipers red. Everybody says its so easy but I never painted anything in my life so….. I will go to a body shop. The question is what would they charge me and what would be a good deal or not ? and how much it would cost if I do it myself ? THANKS.....

painting your calipers is pry one of the easiest things you can do.....I would NOT take it to the shop if i were you.....when i did mine, all i did was....

1) take the wheel off
2) sand the rust off with sandpaper or sandblast it (what i did)...dont worry bout taking the calipers off cause you can do a great job even with them on
3) clean it with some degreaser really well
4)tape some newspaper over the hub and surrounding wheel well and suspension parts so that only the caliper is showing
5) spray away....use high temp/caliper paint from autozone for like 7 bucks...works great...lasts a long time...apply 2-3 coats...i think it dries in like 5 minutes too

seriously its really simple....if you have a jackstand and a lug wrench (check the back of your car )...then you should really do it yourself

total cost.... ~$10
