the car with all performed mods so far: 98 GST with MBC set at 15 psi, Greddy IC piping, Greddy Type S BOV, 3" intake pipe, Apex cone style intake filter

ok, i will try to tell every little detail that i know...i am trying to save myself $72 to get the stealership to check it out...i have boost set at 15 and i only get about 12 psi and when i spool up the turbo and then let off it blows out alot of off whitish smoke out the exhaust...the thing that is making me think that it is the turbo is it only does this when my gauge is reading that i am actually boostin IE if i run her below 3K rpms it never smokes...now why i think that it might be a head gasket is because it has 96K miles on it and when i parked the car today it was still blowin a decent amount of smoke out of the exhaust, i am burning oil but the car doesnt overheat or drink excessive amounts of coolant...if someone can tell me what they think it is that would be great!!!! :dsm:

Thanks :thumb:

my guess wud b bearings in turbo going bad, or mabye oil seals in turbo? possibly the gasket.

i agree. it will eventually get worse and slow down your car dramatically when it goes...happened to me.

I have the same problem- so, theoretically, replacing the turbo will solve this problem, given that it isn't a blown head gasket????? My car only has 73 K on it.
