The stock speaker that sits in the passenger door in the front is blown, and Id like to unplug it somehow because all it does is rattle, and it would be a hell of a lot better just to unplug it. I know i can fade the sound to the back, but id like to try to disconnect it. so, whats the easiest place to access the wire going to the speaker? if i find it, could i just clip the wire or will this cause a problem? id like to disconnect it without taking the whole door panel off. anyone?

ok, maybe i can somehow trace it back to the amp thats under the pass. seat. possible?

Easiest way, would be remove the door panel and just unplug the thing. find and tracing wires would take more time than taking out some screws/bolts and popping off the panel. HOWEVER, while you're in there, be careful to not get any of the black stuff holding on the clear plastic they put in there(for waterproofing i think) on your clothes, it doesnt come out(unlikely you'd get it on your clothes, but you could get it on your hands for whatever reason and then wipe on your shirt...).

By taking a bit longer, you can disconnect it the best way, or even take it totally out till you get a new one, or some speakers better than stockers...

In answer to your question. Yes, it will cause a problem. Amplifiers require some kind of load on all circuits that are being run. Fade the sound to the back or change both of the front speakers...Those are your only two options if you want to continue using your stereo for an extended period of time.
