Hi, I'm having quite a deal of problems with such a simple task, the motor is out and easy access 360 degrees. I pulled out the lower LEFT plug on the intake side, tried inserting the block heater (bought from carquest/napa) and it would hit the cylinder wall. I did more research and found this thread

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/194688-can-i-add-block-heater-my-eagle.html

I pulled the plug a user has posted a pic of, and its the same deal.

Am i missing something here or do i need to order a special sleek profile block heater for this application, i put this project on hold for way too long, and as a bad procrastinator that I am I would really like a nice warm hearted response as to what i should do.

I have taken pictures of both holes, the plugs are popped out and the block heater I did have no longer works, probably me trying to get the damn thing to fit and pulling the element out and blah blah pops breakers when i tested it. If needed i can post the pictures and hopefully get a better answer

Thanks,

Alex

If I were you, I would put the frost plug back in and get a rad hose block heater. Since its lower in relation to the engine, it's much more effective.
