I'm Currently running this boost controller But the only problem is that even if I set it to 100% Gain I still only get 12 PSI. I'm pretty sure I don't have a boost leak.

100% gain?? What number is that on the controller. I have the same controller and my friend told me 14 lbs is Around 1.00 on it. Stock boost runs to 0.63 on my car. Is the controller even compatiable with a 1g?

It shouldn't matter if hes a 1g or not.

And like you said PattyG, if everything is connected properly the only thing I can think of is a bad solenoid.

I used these instructions. Re-read it and make sure you have everything set right.

The Type S has 2 connectors on the solenoid I think. Make sure your vacuum line is connected to the right one. And when you change the Type S to "off", what boost are you getting?

Are you sure that you haven't set the limiter to 12 psi? No matter what you set the boost level to if the limiter is engaged it will open the wastegate when that level is reached.

Also, just to clarify the boost level setting and gain setting are two different values. The recommended gain level for our cars (according to Blitz) is 25. At least that's what my instructions say that came with my DSBC but mine is a slightly older model. Setting your gain level too high will make you more susceptible to boost spike.

I know I've got my gain set at 10 I think. And if he was setting the limiter/warning he would probably know as the display goes red to indicate this fact. I think the Type S does that

Yeah, my display also turns red when setting the limiter. Hard to miss but stranger things have happened.LOL

OP, this thread may give you a few more ideas. It's regarding the Greddy Profec controller but the general ideas still apply. You can also try my suggestion in post #4.

Remove the vacuum hose going from the "out" nipple on the solenoid box. Pressurize the intake while the EBC has power and see if the solenoid is staying shut until the set boost is reached or if it starts releasing pressure immediately. Be warned, if it is working the pressure will be released rather suddenly when target boost is reached and it's startling if you're not anticipating it.:)

I think the gain will just make your turbo spool up a little slower. The gain is about finding a mid point so you get quick spool but not too much boost spiking. The ratio will control how much peak boost you get.

I don't get any boost spike I'll try the boost test With the selenoid hooked up and car on.
