Blitz DTT - Is the boost guage accurate??

I just recently hooked up my Blitz Dual Turbo Timer with the boost guage on it. Before I got around to installing my MBC I was getting readings from the timer that I was running 1.25 hkPa, which translates into 18.1 psi. My car is pretty much stock as far as I know. The only mods include a 1G BOV, a new UICP, and a K&N air filter. Is there any way that my stock Talon could be running at 18 psi??? I'm just wondering if anyone else has had problems with this and how accurate everyone thinks the boost guage is. Also, I did have a couple of people check where I hooked up the TT to the vacuum line and it was in the right place. I also need help on how to get the TT working with my factory alarm, because I can't arm it until the car turns off. Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks.
 
Just to update my previous post, I went out and took a look at what my boost guage was running with my MBC completely closed down and I'm still reading 1.30 hkPa or 18.8 psi. Is this possible? My car as I said before is pretty much stock.
 
This is weird. Im pretty sure that at 17 PSI on a stock car you hit fuel cut, so your not running 18 PSI. Where exactly did you tap the vacuum source? My buddy has one of those (on his SRT4) and its just about the same as his boost gauge. Here is an install VFAQ (the link is dead) that I copied and pasted (from myzero.com):

There are two main places to tap in a boost gauge:

1. The 'P' outlet on the throttle body on the intake manifold (easiest)
2. The Fuel Pressure solenoid (best)

The consensus on Club DSM is that the fuel pressure solenoid gives the most accurate results, and this is where I tap in myself. This FAQ simply shows were the solenoid is and where to tap in.

The fuel pressure control solenoid is located on the drivers side firewall next to the brake fluid reservoir (see illustration). On my '91 GS-T, the hose going to the top of the fuel pressure solenoid has a blue stripe on it (yours may differ). If you trace this line, you will see that it leads to the end of the fuel rail. It is the other vacuum hose attached to the fuel pressure solenoid that we are going to tap. It is a solid black line (below the blue-striped line) and if you trace it, it leads to the center of the intake manifold. On the solenoid end, it is actually already cut and connected together with a plastic joint. I simply removed this joint, put in a plastic 'T' and you have your tap.
