black smoke?

The other day I had my dad drive right behind my 95 Talon FWD Auto TURBO and he followed me closely. I punched the pedal and he told me for the first 35ft or so a good ammount of black smoke was coming out of the exhaust. I was told that I could be running rich or something. What are your thoughts and what could be wrong?

running rich. if you have a good deal of mods, go with dsmlink and a wideband and tune it. If not, dont worry to much .

Right now the car wont start. I have no mods done at all. I bought new spark plugs a week ago and since then its been having problems. I put the old ones back in and 1 of them was cracked. So my dad has to go pick up some new spart plugs and try that.
