black plastic in front bumper...

i can't stand it anymore... how do i take out the black plastic piece on my bumper that covers part of my fmic at the top? do i just cut the sob out or are there screws? if you look at the picture it looks like it's taking up half of the ic at the top

Do you just cut it with that and go back and sand it smooth after?

I was able to cut mine with a box cutter and a new blade. With a new blade it cuts the bumper cover like butter. I followed the top grove and the blade stayed right on track for a very straight cut. Since my car is black I colored the cut with permanant marker and you can't see it. I'll attach some pics ASAP.

If you're bumper support is behind the bumper still, then cutting out that black part won't do any good. You'll have to take off the support too. I'm gonna do the same thing when my FMIC finally gets here.

already toook off the bumper support... i didn't feel like cutitng and fitting and cutting and fitting so i just tossed it in a dumpster

I used a dremel to cut the bumper .. and a sawzall to cut the support.
