ok guys i just got a bj's intake' and i was just wondering how owners like them and what impretions have been experience? and some pics will :rocks: too

My friend had one of his car and ended up cracking it 2 times in 2 seperate places. The cracks were where they thread the throttle body mounting holes and drilled into the weld on the plenum.

thanks for the input guys, anyone else has more experience with them?

did he use too long of bolts and bottom them out in the holes?

I bought a new '06 intake from him (I live 2 miles from BJ), longer runner, etc (for the 2.3l); works well and still has the same stack-of-dime-welds as always.

purchased mine used about a year ago. i don't know how long the previous owner had it before me but so far i have put about 8k miles on it running 20psi on an 18g. so far no issues with it.

I think BJ has maybe 30 left on the shelf. I think this is the last of the current-design we'll see.

I initially thought that BJ's began selling something that I would actually want to buy. :p

What is BJ's phone #? He still has a head of mine from over 2 years ago and I can never get a hold of him to get my money back or my head back!!

I ran one on the 2g. I thought it was a very nice piece. I never tried any other SMIMs on the car for comparison, but it seemed to work fine in my application. There are some installed pics on my site if you're interested.
