bizarre problem

So recently while driving my car long distances a cel would appear i'd feel a complete lose of power. The car felt like it was running on two cylinders, and i'd have to mash the peddle to the ground to get moving even a little bit. The wierdest part is the cel would turn off after letting off the gas and everything would feel normal. I've taken it to my mech and he said there were no codes saved in my ecu. Any suggestions? this is really frustrating thanks

Could be a few things.

Does it happen at WOT. Do you smell anything?

Could be kock, what RPM or boost level?

no, not during WOT but usually while i'm on the highway with a constant 3500 rpm and up, not sure what psi tho, i need to look into that.

Still have a catalyic converter on it?

sounds clogged, like I had on my old car, it was like the engine was bucking and then it would get back after I beat the crap outta it.

crank maybe cam sensor ....went bad on my sisters car and when you would hold a steddy speed on the free way it would start messing with the injector pulse and the timing all kinds of shit i put those on its been a ok ... just a thought

The idea was that when a CEL comes on, and there are noticable effects on how the car runs, you STOP and have it checked. It's not an indication that it's okay to try and make the poor bastard explode.

If you're reaching the ground with that pedal, you have more serious issues than a light in the dash.

hmm good point defiant... i'm goin to get the cam sensor and crank checked out and a pocket logger is on the way so hopefully that will help find the problem, thx for all the input guys.
